I got mixed feelings y'all. Nice place and environment but there's a dangon' DOG in the kitchen!!! Where's the health department?
Update: My kid came down w/ hands, mouth, & feet after our visit!
Great 16 lane bowling alley. Real nice experience, friendly staff, good food and drinks!
Customer service is the worst I've ever experienced. I waited outside for 30 minutes so that I could be first in line because they don't take reservations and I was having my 4 year old grandson's birthday party. When I got in there somebody came in after me and he literally took care of them first chatting with them laughing just plain rude. After spending $210 on shoes and two lanes for 2 hours. Then we ordered three large undercooked nasty pizzas and three pictures of pop. We asked if we could have a birthday cake at the end and literally was told no. Even the other customers were like really it's a little kid. Needless to say we had to explain to a 4 year old that we couldn't sing Happy Birthday and do his cake. Just plain unkind. I was very surprised because when my children were little I had their birthday parties there and they were great. But I gas times have changed and that is very sad. Needless to needless to say it is by far the worst place I've ever encountered to have a birthday party for a child. All they cared about was getting their money and taking care of other people first. If I were you I would definitely find another because I am a good person I cleaned up everything looked better than what it looked when I arrived. If I could have given it zero Stars
I had my 7yo daughter's bday party here on Sunday 4/23/2023 from 2-4pm. They don't take reservations, so we showed up just before 2pm when they opened and had no issue reserving the 4 lanes on the end. We had about 10 kids and 20 adults. You want to get a lane per 4-5 people actually bowling. As a side note, the bowling alley in Berkley also doesn't do reservations, but they also told me no parties greater than 10 which I found to be odd.
The place is very vintage. The decor is old/nostalgic but the place was quite clean. The bathrooms were also well stocked and neat. I'm not a pro or anything but the lanes seemed like they were in good shape and all of the equipment was in working order.
They have a strict policy against no outside food, so we couldn't do a cake but they allowed us to decorate our area. I knew this going in so it was not an issue for us.
The menu is basic, but their pizza is properly hand tossed and baked and the quality was great. We had a few pizzas, regular/seasoned fries and cheese sticks, and we did multiple rounds on all of it. Because it was just 2 guys doing everything I wouldn't expect food to come out too quickly, but the pace was fine for us.
They have a full bar and had no issue keeping full cocktails in everyone's hands and we had pitchers of pop and lemonade for the kids.
Drinks were standard bar prices, not cheap but not outrageous. Food was the same. Bowling was 30/hour per lane. Shoe rental was $10. They had limited small kid shoe sizes if you are trying to accommodate a ton of kids. None of the kids seemed to mind wearing a little bit bigger shoes, though.
For the duration of our party there were only 2 staff doing everything, but they were super friendly and accommodating. They handled our party of 30 plus most of the other lanes full without issue.
For a casual gathering I highly recommend this place. A few video games would have been nice to help entertain the kids, they do have a couple pricy claw machines. Overall I would still definitely do it all again.
All star ratings are for the bathroom, not the establishment.
Let me say, I was very pleasantly surprised. This was one of the cleanest smelling bathrooms I've been in a while. 2 stalls, 2 urinals.
I was expecting a more bar like odor and a messy room, but this place was great.
Great stall, would poop again.
This place is a joke. They don’t like black people in their establishment. They are racist as all get up. As I took black friend in there and they humiliated them. And the chick working there is a real biotch. She was a manager I believe at rose bowl and took them for a lot of money. She is a thief. She was laughing stock there. Will prob run this family place in the ground. Will never go back ever.
Don't be fooled by the times listed online. It says they close for an hour but if you ask you can stick around and keep bowling. It's just how they have it set up on their website to denote League times versus open bowling.
Overall, decent place. Didnt try the food or anything but the staff was alright. Pretty good prices too; I think I paid $45 total for 5 people plus shoes for an hour of bowling? Something like that.
Visiting from out of town and brought my two grandchildren here. The gentleman behind the counter was very kind and helpful. Bowling alley was very clean and we had a great time! Thank you!
